PROGRAMME
This initiative from Switzerland offers a showcase of several projects supported by collective based production and publishing house Copypasta Editions. The happening starts with the “Primitive Electronics Brain Dance” album release by Biblioteq Mdulair which is a massive installation for obsolete function generators – sorry the machines didn’t fit hand luggage restrictions – there will be two live shows though, soundscape harmonies by Emma Souharce, intense telluric drones and brainwaves by Clemydia & Maszkowicz. Those two artists take part to a greater performative project called SM NOISE, and wish to present a small reduced performance involving body noise music and BDSM act. Chill out & Dance after party with EMMA3000 yo!

COPYPASTA EDITIONS
music | books | performances
Copypasta Editions is a Geneva (Switzerland) based collective for publishing and artistic production. It works as a platform for production and distribution, including micro-publishing and music release for several artists. Copypasta Editions supports the creation of music tours and artistic residencies: Par-Delà – six month residency in South-America in 2015, Biblioteq Mdulair – Eastern Europe and Russia Tour in 2017, SM NOISE – Japan Tour in 2018.
EMMA SOUHARCE (FR-CH)
napcore | soundscapes | harmonies
Emma Souharce is a sound artist who composes her pieces by the light of candles. Crackles, caresses, screams of micro-machines and symphonies of batrachians, Emma Souharce sculpts precise and intense archaeological footprints in the sound material. Through immersive landscapes, she weaves links between ritual and music, with the secret ambition of reaching complete symbiotic states. Her daily life is also animated by collaborative projects which the analogical orchestra Biblioteq Mdulair (co-founded with Daniel Maszkowicz) is part. Emma Souharce is also active in La Reliure collective and the publishing house Copypasta created in 2012. Emma Souharce lives and works in Geneva.

DANIEL MASZKOWICZ (PL-CH)
telluric drones | brainwaves | ASMR noise
Daniel Maszkowicz works on SuperCollider with which he brings together an infinity of digital function generators. With his music, he creates a massive polyphonic and multichannel soundscape where frequencies merge into an intense magma of resonating waves, bringing the audience into an immersive hypnotic atmosphere. The low frequency beats synchronised with natural brainwaves and molecular resonance patterns, allow a vertiginous take off into consciousness. Powerful sounds made of psychoacoustic synthesis and feedbacks that turn around and collide in the acoustic space are the main ingredients prepared by this illuminated scientist.

CLEMYDIA (CH)
witch noise ritual | screaming feedbacks | action body noise
Clemydia is a pluridiciplinary artist involved in the underground noise scene in Geneva. She’s part of several action noise projects such as SM NOISE and The RedRum Suspension, for which she uses throat, contact microphones and feedbacks for bringing the sounds to an grueling intensity. She also performs on stage as a pro-sex feminist.

SM NOISE (CH)
immersive ASMR | action body noise | explicit BDSM
SM NOISE is a harsh glitch action noise piece originaly by Marquise, Clemydia, Nelson* & Maszkowicz. It stages non simulated and explicit BDSM practice, bringing an intense performative dimension in noise music. Through needle play, self-suspension and chrysalidation, the performers reach a state of trance with consented positions of self-offering, and the use of several objects such as ropes, wax, whips, and scalpels.
The sounds come from the interaction between their bodies – that eventually become music instruments – and the use of sensors, micro-contacts, amplification effects, glitches and brainwaves. This project deploys some parts of the performers’ intimacy with an evocation to the sound pleasures related to BDSM practice, namely shouts and growns, the rustle between synthetic materials and skin, whip, banging and slams.

BIBLIOTEQ MDULAIR (CH)
primitive electronics | hypnotic noise | brain dance
Biblioteq Mdulair is an orchestra made of some 15 analogue function generators for four hands played by polish/swiss/french duet Emma Souharce and Daniel Maszkowicz. With its oscilloscopes, sinusoidals, and frequency sweeps, this sound installation produces all kind of waveforms, exploring vibrations, tickeling resonances, and creating breathing beats. Those primitive electronics machines bring the soundspace down to a magma of waves for a dizzying acoustactile experience.
Bringing the fundamental acoustic waveform to the front stage so it can be experienced by the body and mind, each performance has a storyline with a scenario that allows the two artists to freely improvise from one chapter to another. The public that enters this intense and fascinating laboratory for sensorial experimentations is brought down to various atmospheres from a soft stroll to an earthquake.
Biblioteq Mdulair is mostly a music instrument, but the collective often collaborates with the analogue modular video synthesizer SYNKIE, driven by its creators Michael Egger, Max Egger and Flo Kaufmann from collective [ a n y m a ]. This massive double installation creates a total audiovisual symbiosis, with dozens of CTR televisions in the space, and has been shown at CERN, European Center for Nuclear Research, at Cave12 in Geneva and all throughout eastern Europe while touring to Moscow – Russia in 2017.
