Following Tzu-Ni’s invitation to perform this October at LUFF (Lausanne Underground Film & Music Festival – https://2026.luff.ch/), we have the chance to present her sound work at Hirscheneck in collaboration with Klappfon, and at Misterioso Jazz Club at IOIC (Institute of Incoherent Cinematography). This micro tour is presented in collaboration with LUFF.
Tzu-Ni is a Taiwanese sound and installation artist currently based in the Netherlands. Her practice explores the entangled relationships between sound, gender, and space, often investigating the flexibility of the body and the meeting point between technology and human experience. Working with multichannel installation, field recording, and text-based narrative, she surfaces memories and sensations that sit beneath language. Her installations explore the reciprocal relation formed between light as it is constructed and sound as it is embodied in a space, creating environments where listeners might enter a dream state and more intensely perceive their frame of mind and body.
Daniel Maszkowicz is a Swiss/Polish power electronics researcher and multidisciplinary sound artist. His work EMC:EMI (Electromagnetic compatibility and Interference) illustrates how electrical machines interfere with each other as an allegory to human interactions. Using electrical signals, electromagnetic field sensors and live short wave radio, the sound sources are processed through digital feedbacks and granular synthesis for multichannel set-up. He works with obsolete laboratory instruments, synthesizers and other effects machines in an approach that leaves room for expression for both the scientist and the artist.
